Driving light brackets....
« on: April 02, 2012, 01:55:04 PM »
I have been looking for a source and have not found any so far. Does anybody sell driving light brackets for the Concours 14. Searched and found some mounted to mirrors and police brackets, but no source. Someone said the MCE crash bar folks had them but could not find those either. Not sure I want them on the bottom of the mirrors...little help.

kawasaki authority sales has them.   Just google them and they will fix you up.  Look on their site and they have good photos.   kawasakipolice.com I believe.

Actually found some a Bucks Sport touring. Never seen anyone where with them yet and $85 seems a bit spendy...

I have those... the under mirror mounts.  They are great for FF50's and such, but for some big ol HID's like I have, not so much.

Considering the PIAA 1100 Leds or the Clearwaters. Do not want them on the forks.

I'll try and take some pics tonight.  I do have some PIAA 005's on my forks, and they do a great job of lighting up the road and keeping cagers on their toes.  ;)

Personally I'd stay away from the piaa 1100s. I had them on my Goldwing , they are great but fairly pricey and if you use them daily as a means for conspicuity you will go  through a set of bulbs a year and they are not cheap. I looked at Clearwater lights but they are extremely expensive. I have no doubt that they are a quality item, but costly.  I opted for Rigid Industries Dually 2's. They are not inexpensive but alot less than the Clearwaters and are brighter.

As to the brackets I bought mine from the Kawasaki Authority folks. Pricey brackets but given the slim choices out there I bit the bullet.

Come on if ZG had these on his bike I'd have two pages of pics by now LOL.

Anyone have any experience with PIAA 530s?

Ended up ordering these lights. Alex was super quick to respond to my inquiry and I have heard good feedback from the FJR forum on him and his stuff. Ordered some reflective decals for the cases too. Still need brackets. I have an extra mirror to play with my see what I can come up with

Yeah, his were the only available back when I was looking.  I may spring for the C14P mounts if they'll work with my HIDs.
