Front Brake Pads
« on: June 26, 2011, 08:59:19 PM »
Need to replace my front pads. Any recommendations?

I happen to have one set of Galfer 1375.

Thanks
Tony

They don't have the initial harsh bite as the OEM pads, but are more smooth/consistent and uniform IMHO. Have also noticed less brake dust too....thats another plus in my book.

What year do you have?  There have been some changes to the brakes in '10 and again in '11.
The OEM brake pads are actually VERY good, HH Scintered.
In 2010 they changed the brake pad formula to leave less material on the rotor.
In 2011 they changed to a thicker carrier.

I have an '09 and when I changed pads, I went with '10 OEM and they are very good.

Carbone Loraine from Murphs-took some time to bed, but worked at speeds below 130 flawlessly.  Got some 20k mies out of them before they was gone, as in really gone.  Not dissapointed with my Galf HHs, but they aint as good as the CLs.  If my EBCs dont fare well I will go back to CL and take a little more care when exceeding 130 8)  (On the track)
