Luggage Rack with more room for the passenger
« on: January 26, 2012, 07:17:11 AM »
Hey guys,
I've been working feverishly over the last few months and I've finally gotten my luggage rack ready for sale.  The best attribute is that it leaves a large amount of room for the passenger even with a large touring case on the back.  The backrest will be coming soon.  Aside from that, it has a surface that you can mount pretty much anything on.  I'll attach a few pics.  You can get more info and pics on my site: www.AdvancedSportTouring.com

Don't persecute me for the terrible photoshoping around the tires.  My backdrop wasn't quite big enough and I'm still a novice at P.S.

CAD work for modifications on my luggage racks will be complete on Tuesday.  Should have the new ones in-stock the week of the 26th.  I have included several bungee strap points and the passenger backrests will be in by then as well.  They will have tons of adjustability, up and down, and back to front.

Will this work with the Givi E55 with the brakelight option? The rack I bought with mine has a contact that plugs into the box to supply brakelight power from the bike's brakelight.

+1 on the hole for the contact plug.

Will the rack allow room for the Corbin seat and backrest?

I hesitate answering this question without physically trying it but I can say that there is no reason I can see that it wouldn't work.  With my rack being completely flat, there would be no obstructions to encounter when drilling the hole.  I ordered one, just waiting for it to arrive so I can test it myself.  I'll post pics when I get it all setup.

I'll send you a PM about the Corbin arrangement.  I'd like to send you a rack and let you test it.  I made some modifications to my luggage rack design to include bungy slots so I'd like to wait till those come in to send it.
