Get yer minds out of the gutter, his Concours rack!
I wasn't a fan of the original rack, too much flex. And then once I tried to mount the Kwaka top box with Corbin seat and pillion backrest it wasn't going to work without clearance for SWMBO's backrest AND the top box mounting plate had to be installed so far back most of it was hanging out in the air with no support and had obvious flex.
Enter Phil's rack. A lot bigger, no flex, and with the t-bolt thingies was able to mess around with positioning till I got it just right. Top box still hangs in the air a bit BUT at least there is more rack there to support it - now the only flex is the topbox onto the mounting plate itself.
Top notch.
Pic 1 shows the backrest hardup against the topbox and leant too far forward for the missus
Pic 2 shows how much overhang there is of the mounting plate attached to the stock rack - IMO
less than half the mounting plate is
on the rack
Pic 3 shows the stock rack laid on top of Phil's rack (see the mounting holes)
Pic 4 attempts to show you how far back the mounting points are with Phil's rack - IMO to
2/3 to 3/4 of the mounting plate is
on the rack
