Photos of auxiliary lights

I'm looking at making a light mount for the underside of the mirrors on my new 2011 Connie. Being a ex BMW rider I have a fixation for auxiliary lighting. I have a pair of PIAA Cross Country HID's or a pair of PIAA 910 pencil beam Halogen lamps (my favorite) that I could use.

So, what I'm looking for are photos of your bike that show the look and the mount you used so that I can get some idea as to what I'm looking at.

This is interesting, I guess Connie owners don't consider auxiliary lighting a necessary addition. Those dang Beemer riders put lights all over their bikes 

I haven't had a chance to ride this thing at night so I don't know how the stock lighting is yet. If no one else is doing it, my guess is that it's not needed. I'll have to plan a night out this weekend and see for myself.

There are several members that have lights mounted to the underside of the mirrors, and there are several that have them mounted down low on the forks.  Ninjawarrior1400 had a dozen auxiliary lights so that he could help out the border patrol.

i've ridden at night, and I'm okay with the lights to help ME see.  I'm more concerned with BEING seen, especially at night on a black bike.

Someone makes under mirror light mounts. I have a pair but at the moment I can't remember where I got them....

Do you feel that it's a worth while addition? I still haven't had mine out after dark since it's now officially winter up here.

Because they can't see your headlights?     Bike color means nothing at night.

From my experience, bike color does make a difference at night. I swapped a huge white Goldwing for the Kawasaki, and I'm well aware that I'm much less visible than I used to be.  Color was a factor, as well as the additional lighting on the Wing. I'm hoping to add some lights, once I decide what's available and finally make a decision.

Take a look at the hyper whites with modulating on, wont help you see, but they do wonders at being seen.  They will fit in the space between the mirrors and cowling.  I have mine set at intersecting angles, I want to be seen by all cagers I share the road with.  I have found the stock lights work great at night, once they were properly adjusted.

Now that's pretty interesting!  I wonder how they would show up at night, in steady mode?

They show up nicely, but I keep them in modulate mod, I figure the reason why they dont have the headlight modulate at night is the use of the headlight?  Never been hassled.  It's nice to be seen.  I have used them at night in solid mod, used the light to setup camp.  I'm going to add a second set soon, probably down low and I will decide after install if I'll run them steady or modulating.   I have had a few bulbs quit, but the service from the dealer has been above my expectations.
