Just ride it and you won't have to winterize it and store it.   ;D

In regards to the fuel tank, I have always stored my bikes (all carburated) with a full tank with stabil and that is how i stored the connie last winter.  But the manual says to drain the tank and run it out of gas, what is the consensus around the forum do most people store full or empty?

Can you be sure that your getting ALL fuel out of both the tank and system? This can be just as bad for a FI bike as a carb bike. As an empty tank can flash rust in a matter of days even if stored in a climate controlled location unless coated with a non-drying oil film on the inside. I truly think the manuals still carry info first wrote up in the 60's.....

Jealous of heated garage and where you live.....
               Mike

Giggle & thanks..... Permanent heat in the garage was one of the first things on the list when I bought my house here in the north; if I still lived in the deep south it would be an A/C.....

Lots of good advice already, and after living in Wyoming for lots of years (years ago), I know that ND winters can get down to the -60F range.  Weird / unexpected things seem to happen when temps get that low, especially to plastic.

One morning after a night at -40F, we jumped in my truck, shut the doors, and shattered the plastic rings on the door latch pins (both doors).  I then put the manual transfer case in neutral, and broke the rubber boot around the shifter.  Another time, the door lever broke on my RX-7 after a -40F night.  While fixing it, the drivers door window shattered.  Ahh, the good old days.  I really don't miss that place.   ;)

I would recommend that after a cold night / day / week / month, don't even touch the bike until after it warms up to a reasonable temperature, gradually, on it's own.
