Connti motion tire report
« on: August 22, 2011, 03:55:08 PM »
well just at 4100mi and need a new rear. I'm a hair past the wear marks on the left side and just hitting the wear marks on the right side. there is a funky shape starting to form also on the ride surface.
my riding is about 65%-70% city driving(lots of high speed morning) and the rest is just having fun in the twisties on some weekends.
front tire still very strong and wear looks much more even. I believe I can go with another Connti rear and it should wear out about the same time the front would be wearing out. after that I will try a different rear and may get another Connti motion front.
if I can find a rear that would get me about 6k and not break the bank I think that would match up nice with the Connti motion front.

I got 4500 and 5000 on the two Conti motion rears I tried. Cords showing on the first one, and cooler temps helped get a little more life from the second. Went to Pirelli Angels, 5k and 6k outta those tires. Put on the PR3 last week, and I'm hoping to get a little more mileage outta the rear. I'm getting between 7 and 8 outta the fronts so far(same tires as above). Mainly canyon flogging for me.

I have 1200 miles on mine now, next week will be a 2500 mile trip followed the next week to the WRRR rally, which will be another 1000 mile total.  Hmmmm that adds up to 4,700 miles.  Here is hoping the rear last that long.
