Booyaa!! Back in the saddle
« on: July 06, 2016, 08:43:17 AM »
Took about 2 months but I'm finally back in the saddle.  Multiple fractures coming right along.  'Nuff of that.  I departed from Arai after four helmets and decided to try out the Schuberth C3Pro.  Fit is good but taking a bit of getting used to putting in on.  Got the SRC collar as well.  I like the integration with the helmet, but the buttons take a bit of getting used to as well.  Replaced my Motoport jacket (its fine, just needs a bit of repair) with a Klim Badlands Pro and wrapped in the HeLite Turtle vest.  Fortunately, it doesn't impede the air vents on the Klim.  Still sporting my MotoPort Mesh pants and Sidi Rain boots. And the new Connie...me like.  I didn't even think about getting a different mount when my last one R.I.P.  Love this bike!

Bump...

Alas, I was only back on for almost a month, my wrist wasn't healing well, so had to operate.  Took me out for 3 more months.  I've been back on it but still going through PT.  Slowly but surely!  I need to invest in a good electronic cruise control as my wrist still doesn't have the stamina for longer throttle holds.

Sorry to hear about the setback.  Keep on working on it!  That Concours will be patiently waiting for you to return!

Thanks man...I'm back on it, just for commuting, but have to wear a brace and continue with PT. Sucks.  OH did some research on the forum and settled on an Omni Cruise Throttle Lock...think I even saw a note from you on that device a while back.  I gotta do some digging on additional LED lights now.

I use a throttle rocker and throttle meister, both.

I know how long it can take.  I jammed my thumb badly on the floor over 14 months ago and it STILL hurts a little even today.

I have never had much success with ANY throttle lock, so I don't use any.   I have not tried the Throttlemeister, though... it looks interesting too.

Well, I have posted plenty of that.  Some good choices are available now.

you use a cramp buster on the throttle? That lil bit of leverage on the outside of the grip makes a ton of difference. Especially with the brace on top just to rock it.
