TPMS
« on: May 07, 2016, 07:39:03 AM »
My front TPMS every once and awhile will just show -- while im riding. It never says low battery and the tire pressure is correct. It does come back sometimes but usually ends up going away. Does anyone know a fix for this or do i have to take it in?

There is a DIY somewhere on here ya just gotta search but it is pretty complicated. SO with that said call your COMPETENT local dealer (I say this because the first dealer I called had NO effin clue what I was talking about) with your vin and see if they will do a warranty replacement!

Indeed it sounds like an intermittent sensor.... it is turning itself off for some reason and then coming back on, while being used.  As a sealed unit, it really isn't very serviceable, but especially shouldn't try to mess with it if it is under warranty.  This must be pretty rare, since I have not seen a report of it before.  If the battery were low, you would be getting that warning.  It is only normal to see "--" before the first 30 seconds or so of moving after starting from a very long-stop, since the sensor hasn't had time to wake yet using the centrifugal switch.
Shoodaben (was Guhl) Mountain Runner ECU flash, Canyon Cages front/rear, Helibars risers, Phil's wedges, Grip Puppies, Sargent World seat-low & heated & pod, Muzzy lowering links, Soupy's stand, Nautilus air horn, Admore lightbar, Ronnie's highway pegs, front running lights, all LED, helmet locks, RAM Xgrip, Sena SMH10, Throttle Tamer, MRA X-Creen, BearingUp Shifter, PR4-GT, Scorpion EXO-T1200,etc
