There is a possibility that the old ZX-900 or ZX-1000 (GPZ-900 or GPZ-1000) might work.

If you're talking about the igniter, iirc the zx9 / 1000 doesn't have the same timing points as the zg1000. I think all the zg1000 Igniters interchange. Steve

I borrowed a friends 84 zx900 igniter to put on my 87 concours to narrow down an electrical problem.   I only had it on for 15 minutes or so of in town riding and decided that wasnt my issue

My loom was frayed and the part that is for the fuel gauge went up hit the kill switch checked rest of loom no other burned wire. It drove again out to mechanics about 6 miles away. Checked wires taped up what could see frayed went to start Nada. She cranks but won't turn over. Checked a plug no spark mechanic thinks it killed the igniter when turned off bike again back fed into cdi and killed it.myself have no clue so said buy cdi test the theory

I contacted some friends in the GCE Club.
Hopefully one of them can assist you.
