True- and amazingly petty too boot. In a world that produced Leibniz, Bernoulli, Fermi, Seaborg and so many of that caliber, most of us seem to get petty and almost pathetic by getting an ego boost from being perceived as a GOO ROO regarding motorcycle mechanics. And still more people struggling to attain that lofty position. All too bad because just a bit of learning and at least some of these people would find out just how large, complex and intricate 'the world' really is and how small and petty things like knowledge about something as simple as a motorcycle really is also.
But you are right- this IS a moderated forum and direct insults and outright abuse is stopped so it does not get out of hand. And let's be honest, some of the garbage winging its way around here really is pretty funny, whether that was the intent or not.... :-)

I've been restrained so-to-speak, by my peers in control, about running with scissors and slamming folks... even when they needed to have the reigns pulled in because, well, just because... and we'll leave it at that...
I know Bubba Steve is getting to have a shorter fuse, I certainle hope he hangs in there, and keeps it up...
lotta people out here know a little about some of these bikes, very few know a lot about the small world of bikes we have been going over for 13+ years tho, and that makes some people a bit.... squirrley..?
ego boost?
I just like the words, "thanks man for helping me"....
