O2 sensors ROCK!!!!  I believe it was in '012 or so, auto manufacturers installed O2 sensors that reacted so quickly that the individual cylinders could be monitored for A/F mixture. How cool is THAT? Maybe motorcycles will soon have ECUs sophisticated enough to have that kind of control.

Gave up on the manual folks. Called supposedly the biggest Kawasaki parts dealership in the country, and exactly the same mistake. No more 99924-1488-01. It was superceded by -31, so I'd get exactly the same thing. Parts manager said Kawasaki didn't want to look into it. He was baffled by that, as well as being the only service manual p/n available for the Gen2 bikes. He was told to just order the manual and if it's not what it's supposed to be, then file a special form so KHI can investigate. It'd take months, so I glady accepted the .pdf file of a forum member who offered it. Tried to buy it thru a dealer, but I'm done wasting time and waiting for months.

By the way, even though manuals say CA and 49-state bikes are different, they're the same for 2015. Something changed late in the game, I guess. All bikes I've seen are CA-emissions equipped... and have been several by now. And everybody here outside CA with a 2015 reported the same. My NM bike is CA-spec, and thought it was a fluke, but it's not. And yes, fueling was changed for 2015 to comply with new emissions (including larger cats), so ECU HAS to have a different p/n than previous bikes. Curiously, the 5-page supplement I received for 2015, has absolutely no mention of the changes we know happened, like the gearbox change (shorter 1st gear), reprogrammed ECU, larger cats, different brake module, different steering stem, etc. All 5 pages were of the fueling system, and the only difference from the 2010+ Gen2 manual was a different intake sensor. The other pages only had slightly different instructions, but no changes. So that supplement is basically useless to me. Thank you very much for the help folks. Hopefully this issue will be resolved in the future, and you're welcome to continue the thread until that happens. But I'm done looking for a solution. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

99924-1431-05 for $80 from Ron Ayers.  It doesn't show up on their web site but if you call them they will order it for you.  It's the 2010-2014 C14 (i.e. Gen 2) Service Manual.  It's possible the update pages are all that exist for the 2015 which is more a Gen 2.5 than a Gen 3 model.  So rather than reprint the entire manual, which is an expensive proposition, they just made the update pages.

I recall that they did that with the Voyager XII at some point.

It's NOT listed as a supplement man. They sent me that instead of the manual, so I basically paid the same for those 5 pages than what the full manual costs (supplement should be included with the manual). After dealer couldn't solve the problem and send me a full manual, returned the supplement a few days ago, and I'm awaiting a refund.

Nobody seems to know what's going on at Kawasaki. So if you try to order a manual, all you'd get for now is that 5-page supplement instead, so I'd wait until Kawasaki sorts that out. And as I mentioned earlier, the supplement doesn't show anything new; just a slightly different intake sensor in the exploded view, but there're no part numbers whatsoever. So the supplement is useless by itself folks, even for a 2015 bike... or any other Gen2 bike, for that matter. It actually has less photos than the .pdf manual I got from a member here, so it just makes it worse IMO. And no mention of any model years; never seen a manufacturer so lazy that doesn't put model years anywhere. How hard would be to change the first freaking page? Oh well. At least I didn't have to spend money on that. Good luck folks.

Sorry about that. Hopefully you get YOUR money back alright. If I weren't on holidays right now (fat chance to find a manual for such a bike in Sicily, and in English) I'd ask my dealer in Germany or some of the folks in UK.
