Specifically, only those who bought the wedges, with bolts, for use without riser-blocks, prior to July 2011.

I was not aware that some bikes came stock with stainless steel bolts while others came with stronger DIN 10.9 alloy steel bolts. I want to make sure everyone gets the stronger bolts for the wedges I made.
The bolts I supplied are stainless steel and have head markings "A2-70". These are not as strong as the alloy steel bolts marked "10.9".
If you purchased wedges and bolts from me, you should replace the bolts with "10.9" alloy steel bolts that Murph sourced. (http://www.murphskits.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=467)  Item number "MU-185".

If you will purchase them from Murph and send me an email with the order number and your name, I will reimburse your cost for the bolts through Paypal or whatever method you used in purchasing them.

I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but please, to play it safe, replace the bolts I supplied.

Phil mine were ordered from Murph Monday and are in my mailbox at home tonight.  Murph is supplying "10.9" alloy steel bolts
Item number "MU-185" correct?  In other words if not ordered from you prior to turning distribution over to Murph, the order should be good?

Yes, as usual Murph knows enough about these bikes to source the correct bolts. His are correct, it's only the ones I supplied prior to his selling them.

Phil,

If some of the C-14's came factory with A2-70 and Kawasaki did not issue a recall then whats the problem with the A2-70's that you supplied?
Sure is nice of you to upgrade peoples bolts that are already perfectly good.

Steve: I just want to be sure what I supplied is not inferior to the factory stuff. I actually think my bike came with a mix of the two. Better safe than sorry.

I'll order the bolts from Murph... but I don't see you owing me a dime for the bolts since Kawasaki made the upgrade after my purchase.  It wonder if Kawasaki will upgrade my 2009 C14 with all the 2010 C14 bells and whistles... and pick up the tab.  ;D

I do appreciate you bringing this to our attention.  ;)
