I have owned two and have obviously liked them.  The first I bought with my C14 and it was my first flip-face helmet so I don't really have a comparison to other brands.  The fit was good for me, the flip bar, clear shield and sun shield all worked smoothly with no issues and I particularly like the sun screen because I don't have to switch sunglasses & clear lenses.  I like the two adjustable air inlets and rear outlet and they are easy to work with gloves on.  I do get some wind leakage/noise from crosswinds around the clear screen when it's fully closed, but nothing bothersome.  Having said all that I thought I needed a new lid and wanted to change to white for visibility so I bought another one this past spring.  Again, no comparisons to make but I think it works well and was a good value.  I think the new white one with the metallic trim looks even better than the original Anthracite I bought to go with my Neutron Silver '08.

I bought a 900 when they first came out... silver was the only color I liked.  It replaced a Nolan N102.  I needed a new flipup a year ago... I bought a Shoei Neotec. white... it's real nice, but just doesn't fit right... so I bought another 900, white this time.  It fits right... big wide open viewing area... never fogs up... vents real well... I wear foam plugs, so it's quite to me.

I really like them... it'll be my 4th Scorpion helmet since 2005.  They stand by them, warranty wise... I had a hinge replaced for free by them, after 3 years... no questions asked... they mailed me the parts when I emailed them asking how I could purchase them.

I must have a huge head.  I can't seem to fit into a Shoei very well.  I have a Scorpion EXO-1000 and it does fit well, but only after I went a few sizes up from anything else I tried.  Decent quality, lots of features, looks great, vents OK, not loud but not quiet either.

Similar thing with me- I asked about the size issue and they sent me the next size up (smaller) pads, for free.  Later asked about the shield coating scratching and they sent a new shield, no questions asked.  The anti-fog coating works but really is fragile and causes breakdown and scratching so I go through twice the number of shields as my previous helmets.  Probably the most annoying thing about the Scorpion.  Still, I am quite happy and they really do stand behind their products.

I own 2 Scorpions....EXO700 and my new EXO500.

The 500 is great. Love the internal visor. Also has a small lever on the side to crack open the visor slightly, which helps with airflow and fogging.

It also has the pump up air bladder, but they run about a size small, so get the next size bigger.
Only complaint is how snug the cheek pads are, w/o pumping them up.
Hoping that will get better as it wears. But, it's not a problem.

The 500 is much quieter than my 7 year old 700 was.

For under $200, great value.

I thought the whole "pump up adjustment" thing on my EXO-1000 would be a great feature... but even with extra large size pads (smallest available) it still squishes my cheeks after 3 years.  So I have never used the pump feature at all.  But the drop-down visor thing?  Best feature EVER.  I will never have another helmet without it.

Just for the record, I was wearing a Scorpion 900 modular (flip up) when I high sided on the interstate at 75 mph. I slid, rolled, and tumbled a pretty good ways, but the Scorpion did its job. A slight concussion, but the helmet stayed intact, and protected my noggin. Obviously, I would not wear it any more, but I still have it on a shelf in my garage as a memento of a pretty lucky survival.

Was it in the flipped up position or locked down?
