I just talked to a guy on one at the gas station this week.
That's exactly what he uses it for. Said it fits the bill perfectly and is fun to boot.
I told him it gives a new meaning to the term, "scooter trash".
We had a good laugh.

Cruise 80 mph all day long on the Highway.

For town I'd go with a Honda Rebel 250.  (My son has one for college.  He says it's the perfect bike for the campus and city.

Burgman too big for that.

Don't get me wrong.  the Bergman is great, just to big for just running around.  (just one persons opinion) :chugbeer:

I have no personal experience with a 650 Burgman, but on another fourm that I belong to, one of the members has one. He told the story of racing a brand new Corvette (it was some years back, so it was a C5 Vette) from stoplight-to-stoplight. It was dead even between the Vette and the Burgman! He said the expression on the Vette driver's face was priceless. :D

There is a group of old timers around Naples that go on Sunday rides ,sometimes 20 together , I thought it was a joke the first time I saw them, then I one of my client's told me about his 650 Burgman  and how fast it was and all the storage under the seat,  I had no idea they go up to 650cc  . Another client has the 650 BMW and he has had several recalls  and paid over $11,000.00
Storage is important to me , not for trips but picking chit up.

Three cases of what?

Early C5 Vettes couldn't get out of their own way.

The quick answer is beer, but I'm talking about storage containers fastened (tongue in cheek here) to the bike.

Early C5 Vettes couldn't get out of their own way.

I don't know, sub-5 seconds 0-60 times, and low 13's in the quarter miles seem pretty decent for a car.  :o The point was that the Corvette driver couldn't believe that his new Corvette (probably his dream car since he was a kid) couldn't beat a scooter:P

My 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee has the Hemi that shuts 4 cyl down when you get up to Highway speeds.

Looks like GM's answer to that is to have a corvette V8 that shuts down 4 cyl when the throttle is depressed.  :rotflmao:

Not a 650, but my wife has the Yamaha Majesty 400. She loves it! Great for around town. The thing is just all kinds of fun to ride too.

Saw a whole gang of Burgmans and other scooters, many states represented, in Bixby, Mo. on Saturday.
