my post-ho'ing time has been consumed lately
« on: August 13, 2014, 04:34:55 PM »
Sorry I haven't been post-ho'ing around here, I'm restoring two antique camaros.  don't ask how i wound up with two, its  touchy subject for me

This one is in pretty good shape already, keeping it bone stock and original. Daily driver. Gets more attention than any of my bikes, and thats not a good thing. I gave pennies on the dollar as far as fair market value. Matching #'s original 350 V8 car, even has the stock 8 track player.  I'm doing a couple of things to it to get it near perfect, then removing trim, sanding the sh*tty enamel paint job OFF, and then gone to my painter for a very proper  paint job.

This one is getting a frame off restoration after I finish the one above, it will highly modified including suspension and fuel injected LS1 engine, 6 speed transmission, and vintage AC added.  Its going to run route 66 when I'm done. Tampa to Illinois then across the country.

After 2 '70 Camaros, a '72 and '68 I decided bikes are cheaper and draw LESS attention from the LEOs.  I miss the first '70 a lot!!  Still have a '65 Stang that is on hold for a resto mod Conversion.  If this ADV bug ever leaves me (not likely soon) I may finish the job.  My current obsession is getting certified for the Lee Parks Total Control class (just got certed for the MSF ARC and MSRC last week).  Yes, I am doing it all from my F800GS on DOT Knobbies, which is a hoot to say the least.  Riding the ragged edge is so much easier ;D  I feel like a squirrel much of the time, which just adds to the fun.  I will be taking the level 2 TCC on Sunday, goal is knee down on a lifted, knobbied GS!!

Thank you sir, that car is a duplicate of the one I drove in  high school.  its getting a frame off restoration with modern suspension, corvette LS1 fuel injected motor and tranny, and modern dash/gauges/audio.
