CSP comment about his C14
« on: July 23, 2014, 09:01:23 AM »
I had the misfortune to meet a Colorado State Patrol officer and his C14 yesterday on my way home... got tagged for 86 in a 75.  :(  My first speeding ticket in... 23 years... first one that will be on my record in over 30 years.

Anyway, after our revenue conversation was over... I asked him how he liked his Connie... that opened up a 10 minute conversation of nothing but smiles, happiness, and positive comments, vs the nameless Vtwin he had before.  8)

After leaving the scene of our monetary transaction, I realized I should have snapped a pic.  :-[

You would think he would be understanding about how easy it is to cruise at 86 mph since he also rides a Connie!

You should have had the connie conversation before the revenue conversation.

I've had a similar conversation with a LEO at the Conoco at Bowles and 470 in Denver. Fortunately for me he was just getting gas at the same time as me. Said he had been on an HD for 20 years and wasn't happy about going to the Connie but now says he will never go back.

After a similar monetary transaction in VA, the gendarme assured me that they only ticket for 13mph over the limit. I guess Colorado is more strict.

Said gendarme was not a happy boy when it came to discussing motorcycles. It seems he always wanted to be a M/C Cop but he didn't have the requisite coordination or reflexes. So I (silently) enjoyed his fate of being stuck in a cruiser for the rest of his life.
