header pipes
« on: June 29, 2014, 04:01:14 PM »
Ok. This may have been asked before but here goes anyway, has anyone fitted a zx header to a zg14?
I bottomed out the other day and squashed one of the tubes on my exhaust so I'm wondering if changing to the zx pipes might give me more go go. I already have a staintune rear pipe which made a great difference, so why not go for the (supposedly) faster headers.  Any thoughts on this?

06/07 zx headers have no cat and are a 4 into 1 into 2 dual configuration. To realize more go you will need to go catless, remove the secondary throttle plates (Butterflies) and add a piggy back fuel controller or have your ecu reflashed. There is a company in your country called Woolich Racing that may be worth your time to talk to.

Thanks gPink, thats plenty to chew on for the moment. I kind of like the sound of 4 into 1 systems though.
Thier options seem to be on a par with flyectomy, pc v, hot slip on and I'm part way down that track now. Does anyone out there have any experience with Woolich products?

Fitted 2008 ZX14 headers to my bike for same reason. They are about 3-4mm larger in pipe diameter but bolted up no probs, but they are duals. $50.00 from ebay plus shipping from US. And then the rest of the project began....:)
