Weekend Chores
« on: June 25, 2014, 11:22:55 PM »
Hey all
Some of the Bells and Whistles have arrived, so I will be spending a little time in the garage as well as on the road this weekend.
Ready for the first engine and shaft oil change as well. ( 1 more mineral then synthetic for life )
Quite eager to try the highway pegs once they're mounted on the Canyon Cages.
Was hoping to install the bar risers and throttle lock as well but 3 weeks and still a no show.
I'm sure I have to head into the mountains for a prober test.

2014 ZG14
Added a set of Rico anti-vibe highway pegs. Should be good for lounging.
Canyon cages went on relatively easy using some of the direction from this forum. ( heat and a wire gun cleaner and compressed air. ) slowest par of install adding in the cross braces (minimal room for wrenches and no acces for a socket elbow).
1st oil changes complete (engine and shaft) at 560 km (347 ml ), will do the next at 1500km.
Off to Southern  BC for a few days,

Sorry won't be heading that far west this time, in Cranbrook tonight. Then Creston, Nelson, Kaslo, New Denver, Nakusp with any luck. Then I have to circle back and head towards Calgary for work.
Hoping to make to to the island late August early September we'll try then.
Cheers  :chugbeer:
Rubber Down.
I am thoroughly impressed with this bike. Corners beautifully , comfortable,  and to think I've been looking this for three years   Good things come to those who wait. :)

You guys sure do have a lot of great riding areas out there! We rode two Concours-14's all the way from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Tofino, BC and back in 2011. Total was just under 14,000 kms in two weeks.
As far as BC is concerned, we quite enjoyed that ride down through the Lillooet area...very cool.

Bike is lookin' good Doug. I lived in Calgary for a couple years back in the mid 1990's and quite like it at the time.

My little brother is still out there...living and working (and also avoiding adulthood) in Lake Louise...lol.
