Also, you might be disappointed with the results.   There will be more light, but the patterns often suck, resulting in little to even less overall improvement.  Projector conversions seem like a much better route, although even more work.

I thought that they were pretty good compared to what I had on the C10.  They've served me well since 2007.

I think the stock headlights are very good......once they are adjusted correctly as mine were basically aimed down as far as they could get.

Oh, I agree.  I was saying that I was disappointed with the HID conversion, not that I was all that disappointed with the stock headlights.  The stock headlights are actually pretty good, especially compared to any other bike I have had.  What ruined it for me are the G37 headlights.  After those, everything seems poor in comparison so I wanted "more" and didn't really get it by messing with HID bulbs.   If I had the time/energy/capability, I would consider a projector conversion.... I am just not that bold.... yet.

These work great!

http://www.murphskits.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=130_137&products_id=304

Those are what I was using before I bought the HID conversion kit.  They were an improvement over stock the stock bulbs.  But their claims of "100% more light" are nonsense (some kind of marketing stunt, I think)... I would say more like 15%.

I really like the stock headlights, when properly adjusted.  Now with the Denali DM1 "driving lights" I added, I like even better.  I'll look at the bulbs from Murph's when my factory lights go out.  Until then, I'm very happy with what I have.
