UCLEAR has just announced a firmware upgrade that allows pairing with other brands of helmet communication units...

The other part of the upgrade that permits a second device is pretty nice, too. Time for me to hook mine up and update it.

If it works the same as the sena upgrade, it replaces the phone on the other brand's headset. Which means for example, a cardo wouldn't be able to receive a phone call while connected.

Not an acceptable solution in my opinion.

I don't have first hand experience, but by reading the instructions for the Sena, that is what they describe to to.  Connect your sena to the cardo as though it is a phone.

Could be here also...from their website: 

"Setup the [other brand] Bluetooth headset in HFP pairing (pairing mode for basic phone link)."

Maybe that's where the level of technology vs price is right now...
