Yep, looking at a third down the road.  450 EXC, plated, 520 plated and 'Tarded, with a 690 in the future as a light weight ADV trail ripping bike ;D ;D ;D  The 1190ADV-R is an awesome looking bike and the stats are mind numbing, I could even seeing it as the replacement for the F8GS, but I want something lighter for the trails closer to home with more endurance than I have with the 2 RFS motors (read, fewer oil changes).

May race the 800 in the upcoming Desert 100 in April.  Pull lots of bits and pieces off for major weight reduction.  I joined the Heaveyweights (600cc and up ADV bikes) racing/riding in the Sportsman class...  Wish me luck :)

Was just reading about the 1190ADV-R in Motorcyclist (or was it Cycle World?). 498 lbs curb weight with 150hp! I could see that as a replacement for my C14 and my DR-650. I could sell it to the missus as one less bike in the garage. She might go for that. Just got to find a new job.

Fortunately i haven't been on the saddle of one of these yet, it probably will be my next mile eating bike  :D

I shed my ammo cans on my DR650 for some aluminum panniers at a cost of $400. Saves 21 lbs. Hope to find out this summer is it was worth it.

Absolutely! Especially on a bike that has an original dry weight of 324 lbs. When I find a camp, take off the luggage and then go exploring it's like a completely different bike.
