2008 saddlebag repair or replace?
« on: September 18, 2013, 06:16:24 AM »
I just had my right side saddle bag fall off the bike. It happened once before but this was my fault. I always checked after the first time but 2nd time it appeared to be latched properly. I did recover it and it still opens and closes but now it is much uglier!
Anyone have these repaired/ repainted or is it best to buy new or used?
Thanks..............

Some have used a spray on bedliner instead of the cost of repaint. Might do a search to see what you turn up.

Better to save it, since the lock assembly is rather difficult to swap to another. There are sometimes just the outer lid shell for sale on ebay.

One option is to find a used one off ebay, buying new from Kawi is crazy how much $$ they want for them...

Repairing them is pretty easy if they are just scratched and not cracked.  :)
