Steering head bearing swap
« on: September 04, 2013, 07:22:14 PM »
Got the 'click' in the front end under hard braking, and rather than re-tighten the stock ball-bearings, I ordered a set of tapered needle bearings from All Balls.  Parts came in last week, so Friday night of the long weekend, the garage looked like this:

I took Saturday off, and finished up Sunday morning.  Monday I went out for a shakedown ride, and after all that, everything checks out fine.  No more clicking, and I know these bearings are significantly stronger.  Nice.

Not that I need it, but others may.

Should be in the FAQ area under C14 part numbers...  Yep, part number is there but not where to buy them...  The person that put in that information should be flogged...  Gross oversight if you ask me...

Someone come up with a place to buy them?

Got that scurvy dog to update the part number list...
