We all know that those painted lines on the roads can be slick at times...
I was riding to work on the back roads like I always do when I came up to a stop sign at a T intersection. I could see that the road lines in front of me were freshly painted but I had no idea how fresh. I pulled out from the stop and made a left hand turn. I rolled on some power just as my rear wheel crossed the line. The damn wheel almost slid out from under me! WTF? The road was dry so why was the line so slipperdy? I found out as I made the next turn about a 1/4 mile away. There was the line painting crew painting new lines! Oh ****, did I get paint on my bike? I found out when I got to work. Yellow paint in the grooves on the left side of the rear wheel and yellow specks all over the back end!
Some WD40 made short work of the specks, thank goodness.
