Coolant recovery bottle relocation
« on: August 07, 2011, 04:06:17 PM »
Attempting this mod and I have one question. Are both hose connections retained or is one of them done away with. I can't see how this fits behind the battery box with out cutting off and sealing the connection that would protude out the front toward the battery box.

this shows it pretty clearly, it will fit. Even the old hoses can be used, just re-rout them...all you need is some velcro....

Just moved mine. I heated the overflow outlet and bent it to clear the battery. I know it will fit without the mod but I had miscalucated the sticking power of industry velcro.
Any landing you can walk away from is a good one

Can the pics be found anywhere anymore?  The webshots link no longer works.  I was hoping I finally found a thread that showed the rolcation with the original bottle without mods.

The below are not MOB's method which costs very little as the original bottle is used, but with these methods the tool tray can still be used.

This mod is definitely on my to do list. Along with this I want to get the header pipes ceramic coated. I had the pipes on my Spyder coated and it really made a difference.
