Amazing.  I would have bet some money that Spitfires couldn't reach Berlin.  Certainly not with enough gas to loiter for 30 minutes.

+1 I never heard of a long range Spitfire before. Putting additional fuel where the guns normally are is brilliant (except for being unarmed) but I wonder if he also used drop tanks like the Mustangs did.
