Bayou's Of Louisiana...food?
« on: May 20, 2013, 11:55:27 PM »
Can any of of you goo-roos suggest some cajun shacks in southern Louisiana?

I want to run my bike through some some non-FL swamps, meet some folks around the area, and EAT  ;D

If you make it to the Lafayette area, Prejean's is some of the best seafood you will find anywhere.

+1... my riding bud from Lafayette dragged me there once... that was some good eats!  One thing I love is a good Muff!  8)  Muffuletta to the unedumecated.  If they still have the duck gumbo... get it!  8)

Hey Steve, when ya going?

My Navy son and D-I-L lived in Plaquemines Parish SE of NOLA for a few years while stationed there. Right across the road from the Mississippi River. No specifics on where to get what, but it all is truly an eating experience over there.

We used to hop on his dirt bikes and ride the hinter lands. Way cool, just not as cool as their present location up the PCH from Malibu.

 Enjoy the adventure.

I think Prejeans may be the best Cajun food plus Cajun experience in LA. Fantastic food and  a cajun band on weekends. That makes  3 votes for Prejeans. If you go to NO  you should try Jacques-Imos (Jocamos) Fantastic food and great atmosphere. In Covington, the Tap House  lounge has a secret restaurant that is incredible. In Baton Rouge I would go to Don's Seafood on Airline or  Mike Andersons. And if you want to find the best twisties I'd be happy to guide you.
