2013 VS 2012
« on: May 15, 2013, 08:02:33 AM »
I'm in the market to upgrade my 2006 Connie for a new one and am finding new 2012's still on the market.   Looks like I can save something north of $700 by buying the 2012 - what are the changes made, if any, to the 2013?

Also, do any of you have recommendations on CA dealers who are aggressive on pricing?

Only significant change will be the color. Maybe other smaller cosmetic changes but the big decision will be what color you want and how much you want to save.

I wanted Silver, so I found a 2011 in March 2012. They had the color I wanted on the showroom floor.  I have not been back to that dealership since the day of the purchase because it is 50 miles from my home and there are 3 closer Dealerships within 15 miles to my home.

Good luck with your decision and future purchase.

+1 on that. Bought my 2012 Candy Arabian Red in January 2013 (in Canada), and paid $4,500 less than MSRP for 2013.

Have seen 2012s priced at $12,398 now from dealers. Some may be even a few hundred dollars lower. Every month or so Kawasaki gives dealers a little more sales concession money to sweeten the deal to get rid of last years, 2012, model. What is interesting is that next March or April I will see 2012s with 1K to 3K miles on them offered at $10,500 from sellers. Just missed buying a 2011 with 1,600 miles at $10,500 bought brand new Feb. 2012. That is what I would buy now, a 2011 with low miles from someone that bought it and does not ride it for $10,000 to $10,500.

Agreed, the bike above looks wonderful. If I was in the market I'd for sure be checking it out.

$12,700 + tax for my 2012 just this week if that helps you in negotiations.

No freight, assembly etc etc etc.  Just the price plus tax.

+1 on that! Includes $2,000 of farkles. Assuming you want those. If not, buy it and I'll trade my stock exhaust and stock bars for the Area P and Horizon ST bars  ;D
