Debbie and I did a nice overnight-er her in NC. We started off riding from Rocky Mount NC to Hickory. Did a visit to Debbie's son and spent the night in Hickory and ended up going to Morganton NC all the way up to Grandfarther mountain. When you turn into the entrance to the mountain your handed this letter, that you must read before you can proceed. I am very glad they handed me this letter. I have never been on such a steep incline and aggressive switchback ...ever. While going up these angles and approaching the turn you have to also glance up and over your shoulder just to make sure you have a clear line around. Debbie got very vocal going up and coming down. It is first gear all the way up at a greater than a 45 degree angle and pretty slooooow. What made it worse is the clouds that were rolling over the mountain left a lot of moisture on the roads. I had the make sure the SUV in front of me would not stop or suddenly slow down I stayed back about 5-6 car length to give me time to react. He took one of the turns kinda slow and I saw his front tire losing grip. All in all we had a great time. Debbie was not in anyway going to cross the mile high swinging bridge. And again she got very vocal, LOL. All in all we rode about 600miles or so over the weekend. This very close to the route we took in the mountains.

The 1/2 mile walk up after we parked the bike...That's Debbie waaaay ahead of me.
Slippery rocks,bad knees and motorcycle boots....oh joy !!!!

Halfway across there is this marker that you step over,
This is about noonish... and a huge cloud came across.
On the was back a farther and son team stopped at a gas station, Go!!! Mama Kaw
