Mai successa una cosa del genere.
« on: September 30, 2012, 01:52:41 AM »
La manutenzione del  C14 fita la garanzia è stata da parte mia  sempre molto scrupolosa,
ma non è bastato ad ovviare a questo che vi mostro in foto.

The maintenance of the C14 over the guarantee was for me always very scrupulous,
but it was not enough to overcome this that I show in the picture.

Don't go out in public with loose nuts, just isn't polite.

We installed the ZX header at 2,500 miles and some of the nuts were finger tight

Ah, I see.   MG, your nuts came loose....ouch!

He's right, these need to be checked periodically.  Adding the Fuji's is a good idea.

Mine did that exact same thing. And I managed to put it back together without taking the bike apart. Thank God!!!

I squeezed in there to tighten those header nuts, too, but was unable to get to that particular header (#2 from the right).
Maybe MGvaleri did the same and this was the consequence.

Scaffolder, how did you manage to put it back together without taking the bike apart?

I've changed the header (complete swap) several times on my 2010 without taking the bike apart.  It requires lots of 1/4" drive extensions, a universal joint, a flashlight, and lots of patience.  Small hands do help, but most of the trick involves proper control of the tools.

Just extensions and some blood, but I did it. I put 2 nuts on it from a 1958 Fiat 500 flywheel. So my Kawi is part Italia Design. lol.
