this your first set of connti motion tire???  Im at about 3000 miles on mine set and they are still rolling strong. mega tread left still!!

Yep, my first set of them.  I will be installing in the morning.  I hope I can get 6k from the rear and I will be happy.  I ride like an idiot and don't get much mileage with any tire.  So far the Pirelli Angel was the longest at 6k.

Fred will not be along...

That's a shame. Did we offend him in some way?

I came right out and asked him this, Fred said that he didn't have enough time to be on this site and the COG site...

on a car you are suppose to rotate and BALANCE your tires every 5,000 miles.

Okay now is there anyone that actually balances their tires more than once, let alone every 5,000 miles?

Personally I rotate them once about halfway through their life and that's it.  If I rotated them every 5K I'd be doing it once a month.

Hmmm...strange that he would pull out completely....rather than just cut back.  ???

Sorry, Ok, back to tire balancing stuff...

Don't have a horse in this race either way ,but DO NOT use any liquid or gel in your tire with tpms .I see car tire sensors (just like ours ) ruined all the time.

As for the dyna beads ,Motorcycle Consumer News tested them, and according to them they do not work .For what it's worth.

Weights work good. ;D

I did go with the standard weights. I figured that I have been riding since 1996 and have always used them and they have never failed me. They may be old-tech, but they work.

Oh, and I have never had a tire removed and re-balanced, especially front tires as they always seem to go about 5k before needing to be replaced.
