Stem bearing wrench
« on: August 09, 2012, 12:57:22 PM »
Think I need to tighten my stem bearing. I hear a slight thud or click when going over bumps. Question is, how often do you have to do this to warrent buying the tool? Does anyone have it for rent or something?

Yes, I am about 30 miles west of Springfield, IL. That would be super to be able to borrow yours.

That would put Belleville/O'Fallon about halfway. Meet and greet or I can drop it in the mail.

I believe the service manual says that you are suppose to grease the steering stem bearings every 15k miles. I went ahead and bought one knowing that I would be needing it on occasion. It's great that you are able to borrow one though.

That's very nice of you Gary. Maybe I can take you up on that offer sometime? How far are you two from Starved Rock?

i bought an adjustable c-spanner from ebay some years ago. it costs around USD75+. it was listed on ebay by www.moto-services.net. supposedly, K&L tools are supplied to kawasaki as the tools listed in the service manual.
