Touch-up paint?
« on: June 12, 2012, 08:43:51 PM »
Is there a touch-up paint available from Kawasaki?  I'm thinking something similar to what you get when you buy a new car for paint chips.

I believe our bikes are base coat / clear coat, if its small chips some clear may be the ticket.  If they are deep touch-up may be more obvious than the chip?

Just about any motor vehicle nowadays is painted with base coat/clear coat.  The exception are certain colors like pearl white, which requires three coats - base white, pearl white, and clear.  That's white it costs about $ 1000 extra on certain cars and trucks.  Also, some colors are more expensive than others, due to high cost of pigments.  Maroon and yellow and some examples.  Some manufacturers charge extra for these colors.
