MC Enterprise bag guards and Passenger pegs
« on: April 25, 2012, 09:59:58 PM »
After all the shipping screw ups I finally got my MFW passenger pegs from Twisted Throttle. The problem was that the guards for the saddlebag interfere slightly with the passengers feet. So off to the net to find more farkles. I settled for the MFW's for their amount of variable positioning. Now I need milder weather for her to try them out and see if they are set right. They are the longest bracket that they made at 2 inches, I think the others would have been to short. So for those of you with the MC Enterprise guards and a passenger that complains about contacting them this is one of the options out there.

Do yourself a favor... next time you need something from Twisted order from Blue Streak Racing in Ontario! You'll get the same price, free shipping and much better customer service( Tony is the owner). There is one other distributor for Twisted in Ontario, A Vicious Cycle.....I'll never order from them again!!! Stay away from that place! FYI
I see that you're from London, Blue Streak is in Embro! Not far from you at all. If you need something that is not on their website, call Tony! Chances are he has it or will get it for you! If you find a lower price elsewhere, call Tony! He will match that price!

Ah man, I just ordered the Projecktd lowering brackets but this look like they would do the trick. How much? Do they make them in all black? I know I could go look it up myself but I am feeling lazy today, rough day of NOT catching fish yesterday  >:(

Hi Gumbi, these are only available in the silver. It is a 3 piece set and cost $230 delivered, definitly not cheap! I like dealing with ProjectD, good fast service and a decent product to boot. They should do the trick though, they are 70 mm while mine were 50 mm, give your passenger a little more room.

Yeah Koval I know, deal with Tony for most of my stuff. Was kinda spur of the moment one night. Dealt with A Viciuos Cycle as well and no complaints with them. But Tony is A1 really great to deal with, and a short drive away. Oh well you live you learn.

Cheers :chugbeer:

Can you let me know how the Projectd brackets work out for you? I may have to get some.

I purchased that setup last year and it works out well.  I modified mine by drilling out the arms and installing Kuryakyn boards for better passenger comfort.   I have posted many threads with pictures.

My brackets showed up today so I had to leave work early to install farkles.

I tried them with the stock pegs and they do work well, but I had to go back to my black buell pegs, just looks better.

They still did not look right so I ran to the hardware store and got some black bolts. I also grabbed some mylar washers, because the top of the brackets fit loosely, so I superglued the washers to each side of the bracket and pushed it in firmly to get rid of the play in the bracket.

Both mama and I sat on the bike and we think these are going to work wonders for her comfort. $95 vs. $230.

She really likes the Corbin backrest I put on last week too. Good thing she is getting more comfortable on the bike, because I am not getting rid of this one anytime soon. Now all's we need is some more sun in the PNW!

Looks great Gumbi! Big savings over the MFW's.
Sat on back of mine with the Corbin and backrest, now I know why she likes to ride for hours, that backrest provides excellent support!

Ride on guys!
