My Sargeant seat has a storage compartment that holds the user manual with some room to spare.

stock picture ...

HA!  I have that in my Sargent seat also and completely forgot about it.  I don't think I have ANYTHING in that space.  Time to move it there!

Thanks Flathead.

I downloaded the manual to my lap top and saved it to my "documents", then attached it to an email to my self and opened it on my I phone under saved mail. Now all i have to do is go to my saved mail and it's right thereon my phone if I need it. Would be cool if there is a way to move it to an app or the notes.

You don't need "apps" for documents, nor to keep it in Email.  You just have to install a file manager app.  Then you can detach/save the PDF document off the Email to the filesystem directly (on a writable area) and can open it with the file manager any time you like.   I believe in Android, you can even set up an icon on one of the desktops that is just the document, itself, for quick access.  Of course, leaving it in Email will work, as long as it is local to the phone (not using IMAP or something).

Yep, I really should upload it to my Xoom.  Could be handy, even when off the bike.

Mine is in a plastic bag in one of the sidebags where I keep other stuff such as: rain gear, pump, seat pad,  extra gloves, pull-over sweater, etc.

Incidentally, that's where the manufacturer places the oner's manual when they ship new bikes in crates.

I just did what you said and down loaded a file manager app and move the PDF over from my e-mail. Thanks for the Technical help!

I always have my phone with me so I will always have my manual.

I put mine in a ziploc sandwich bag then put it under the KIPASS ECU hold down strap.
