You do know that the torque number listed for the oil drain bolt will be for dry threads, not for threads that have oil on them right? There a difference and if you use the value called for you might stip the bolt out.

Is there a legal way to purchase the actual service manual? All the ones I've found are over seas. My dealer won't sell me one.

I didn't read all the posts, but if anyone is still looking for a paper shop manual for the 08, I have one I would sell.

Rarely used and in perfect shape, maybe a smudge or two is all.

???  Why the hell won't your dealer sell you one?  That doesn't make any sense to me at all.  It is just a part that they order.  I have ordered one for every motorcycle I bought, from the dealer!

Kawasaki web site... This is the link for the 2012 [service] manual [purchase]:

Wow- I was actually looking for that yesterday to try and answer the question and could not find it.  I will say that it was cheaper from my dealer by about $15 or so.

The service guy mumbled some B.S. which is why I don't go there anymore. I've found another shop (Honda Shop) that I trust more.

Hey guys,  Mama Kawi is slow as dirt getting my manual to me.  Ordered over a month ago and i need to get this 600 mile service done.  I don't feel guilty asking because I already paid like $90 for the thing.  Can anyone help me with some info on the first service?

EDIT : Magically I don't need this information anymore.  Thanks guys!
