Rear Hub Coupling
« on: March 18, 2012, 10:52:17 AM »
Should this be replaced? It looks pretty worn to me.

If so, does anyone have one in better shape to sell?

Thanks.

I replaced mine when it was at least twice as worn as yours. I got a low mileage C10 unit off of ebay but if I had to do it over I'd get a Meanstreak wheel and hub and go that direction.

You may want to check the price of a new one if you can't locate a good used one. Also replace the large O ring that centers the drive hub, it is on the wheel and will probably look like a flat o ring, it should be a round profile.

Hell NO, those teeth still look pretty strong.
Now......you want to see worn, this is 70k on an 01.
Enjoy, and ride safe.

Wow! And to think mine has over 110k on it. Yours must have been lube starved.

Funny how it not only wears the tooth face, but also the OD between the teeth.

Don't forget to search ZG1200 also on ebay.

C14 has the coupler too.
