Daytona Bike Week 2012 -- a bit disappointing
« on: March 13, 2012, 09:34:24 PM »
No Triumph demos, not at the track or at the local dealership, no BMW demos (same story), no Honda demos (haven't been for a few years now), no Boss Hoss (also no great loss...), no Aprillia, no Ducati, no Moto Guzi. Kawasaki has the best display and customer service (as always). Suzuki's space is a shadow of previous years -- although they have 'busas in the demo fleet! Lots of empty space, some number of empty bikes on the demo rides. Not the event of past years.

Being only 1 hour from Daytona, I attend Bike Week and Biketoberfest every year without fail. IMO, there are more vendors this year than in the previous couple years. But redz is right about what is missin, it certainly isnt the same as it was 5 years ago. After walking around the speedway for a little while, we moved over to Destination Daytona and it was pretty crowded over there. If you get over that way, have lunch at Hooligan's ..... good food at a good price .... IMHO
