A friend has a Audiovox cruise control on his 08 ST1300, it works great except when he goes on a down grade, it backs off by about 5 mph, holds great on an incline or straight road.
how he can fix his audiovox unit to maintain a speed on a down grade?
There might not BE a fix. Cruise control cannot apply brakes (well, actually, it can in my Infiniti G37, but that is not a typical cruise control, it is very integrated, has laser range finders/etc) it can only control the accelerator. When going down hill in a high gear, there is little to no "engine braking" when letting off the gas. So the bike might unavoidably gain speed with a cruise control going down hill...
