Admore light kit and Realtime Industries video review
« on: March 07, 2012, 11:25:38 PM »
Been under the weather for a couple of days and I'm doing well enough to be up and around the house, but not so much for going outside much quite yet.  Wife is a school teacher and caught something from the kids last week... yech.  In any case, here's my quick "here's how they work" video for the Givi E52 Admore kit and Realtime reflective decals.  I know both of these things have probably made it on the forums somewhere before now, but I thought I'd do a little demonstration today since I didn't really have anything better to do.

By way of improvements, the Admore guys have integrated a quick-release fitting to the junction where the wiring plugs into the bag, and have added another line of LEDs to the wraparound portion of the lights.  Doing shoulder checks on the way back from Phoenix during my Iron-Butt ride last week, I was pleased to see a bright red glow bouncing off everything as I would get ready to change lanes.

Edit: The youtube compression codec killed a lot of the low-end detail and made the video a lot darker than it is on my computer... before the upload you can actually see the bike before I fire the lights up.  Oh well...

I always find that reflective tape stuff to be fascinatingly effective.  Maybe one day it will make it onto my bike, too.
