Muzzy 4-1 with oval muffler-will it fit the C14?
« on: April 28, 2012, 10:03:54 AM »
Anyone have this combo? I am wondering if the can clears the saddle bags and if I
do any mods or remove the center stand. Someone in my area is selling a used one for $300 and would like some info (and I have done a forum search, too!).

It does not take much modification.JD mitchell on here has a 4into1 muzzy. I have a yosh 4 into 1. Do a search and I did pics of what needs to be done to fit it.

i checked out those links- so, will it clear the saddle bag? I have read one say they made a new pipe, can the pipe be bent by hand(coerced ) to clear? Any problems with the center stand?

Yes, the pipe can be "massaged" into position.  I used a floor jack under the collector and pulled on the mid pipe until I had it in the right spot.  It took about 5 minutes to get it into position.  I made a bracket to drop the can enough to clear the bag.   No problem with the center stand.

Can the bike with a 4-1 be driven safely for a few hundred miles on the stock ecu?
That's how far the nearest dynotuner is.

I could email you a tune that would not only get you to the tuner but you will have a blast getting there.  I used the Fuel Moto tune for full AreaP and K&n filter, and it worked just fine while my AutoTune was learning.

Are you talking about something to load in the pcIII? I prefer to have a reflash as I have a '11 and want to maintain stuff like eco mode.

Sorry, I thought you already had a PCV since you were talking about taking it to get dyno tuned.
