One Billion Dollars
« on: February 04, 2012, 07:52:39 AM »
$1,000,000,000
an interesting perspective of the "Word Billion."

A Billion Seconds ago it was 1959
A Billion Minutes ago, Jesus was alive.
A Billion Hours ago our Ancestors were in the Stone Age
A Billion Days ago, nothing on Earth walked on 2 feet
A Billion Dollars ago, it was 8 hrs and 20 minutes, and the rate the US Gov. is spending

Kind of an interesting perspective when you the word Billion is said so cassually by our politicians.
Ride safe all,
Greg
Why did we have to run for cover with the promise of a brave new world unfold beneath the clear blue sky ?

To me the number one billion is a very small number especially if you compare to commonly tangible items like gallons of seawater on the Earth or grains of sand. Even one billion minutes is not very long if it is weighed against the entire life of the Earth; 21 centuries is nothing. Hell, Zuckerberg is about to go from having a net worth of ~$17B to ~$28B by himself. Just another perspective.

Sooooo....we are about to be a Nation that makes you prove you have insurance-but it's not necessary to prove that you are indeed a Citizen of that Nation?
