Muzzy full 4-2-2 exhaust installed ... !
« on: August 11, 2011, 05:06:56 PM »
The Kawa shop did a fine job and installed the full Monty 4-2-2 Muzzy exhaust today.  I rode it only 40-50 miles as I have other things to do.  But 1st impressions are these:

-- Not all that loud.  Lower in tone than my Holeshot single can that the Muzzy replaced.
-- Nice loud tone when I crank the 'Go Grip' !  I like it.
-- Couple back fires on off throttle twice as I drove away from the shop ... 1st 1/2 mile on deceleration.  But, none after that.
-- SOTP seems a bit more ponies, but I didn't see if I could get the wheel up in the 1st couple gears ... not the way I ride.
-- They look FANTASTIC !!   And, installation was terrific.

I plan to ride the bike a bit ... couple hundred miles Saturday ... then see when I can schedule another dyno run to see what the numbers are ... and IF I need a new tweak of the re-Flashed ECU by Dynotronics.

Let's see if I can load up some photos of the Muzzy's ... look terrific !  Did I say that?

I do have to say the dual exhaust looks great with this bike. Too bad they don't make them that way yet. Hopefully that will be in the next UPGRADE! Even with the cats gone and slip on the exhaust is really nice, not at all annoying.

Nice looking - and so is the bike.  Yeah, that's right,  I see the Porsche Turbo behind it.  :hail:

Thanx.  Nice call, m'friend.  Yes, it's a 997 Twin Turbo.  Very quick ride ... so is the C14.   8)

BTW .... friend with a '09 C14 and I did couple hundred back road miles yesterday.  The Muzzy's do sound great.  Lower growl at idle, no drone at any speed, and quite remarkable at WOT, too.  And, I think they look terrific.  I'm pleased.

You have surely had enough time to get that dyno completed haven't you?  I would love to see the results :)

There was quite a thread back a while ... my chart shows with Full Tilt Muzzy's, Dynotronic re-Flash the bike had 20 horse power more than stock and 10 ft/lb of torque more than stock.

The charts and discussion are in a thread .... search for "Dyno charts" and my tag.
