Question concerning C10 Police
« on: January 03, 2012, 09:43:23 PM »
Have located a 05 Connie Police.  Made the phone call to ask questions etc.  During the call I was told this bike is ABS equipped.   Was this option available for this model??? ???

Thanks,
Roger

No...... End of story!

The Concours never got ABS until the the new model ZG1400 came out.

Are you sure it was an 05 Concours? Perhaps it is the newer model? I think they started as 07's but may have been sold as early as 06; not real sure as I don't keep up with what I don't own.

LOL

The C14 that sold in late 2007 was the 2008 Model.
The first ones reached their owners in early July 2007.

As for the C10, no ABS ever.

What color was it? I know a place in Illinois converted some 05's to police bikes, but they were painted red.

Bike is white.  Has all the telltale signs of lights etc taken off.  But they can't tell me all the history.

elvin.....Like the first two.  Had the rear tip overs on but fronts were gone except for one bracket still on one side.  Holes here and there for the lights etc.  Looks like bags had been used to house some electrics as there were bolts filling holes but outsides were in good condition.  It is a 05 or 06 per the chrome exhaust.  Does have low mileage as in 27K plus or that's what I'd call low.  Current owner seems to think it was a escort bike.

Thanks for the photos

I like the color white on the C10. It looks great.
How much do they want for it?

Hmmm, You learn something new everyday. I didn't realize that there was a C-10 police bike. I've seen lots of the KZ 1000 police bikes. Mark

There were some.  There were some great pickings for a while from a company that had a bunch of 05 skeletons after the engines (and some other parts) were taken off to be spares for police bikes.  Pretty sure they weren't a Kawasaki factory thing though, like the KZ police bikes.
