I found a great deal on a yoshimura 4into1 exhaust. I talked to another member on here and found out with a few minor changes this exhaust will fit our bikes. So I pushed on and this is how I did it. The headers install was straight forward. Bolted everything up. Then I connected the mid pipe to the headers. This is where the adjusting begins. I took a small piece of 2x4 and put it on a car jack and then place it under the pipe so I had some good resistance. In the pic below is where I put the car jack under the pipe to provide the support. Right between the two welds you can see in the pic.

I then put the muffler on and would try to put the bag on the bike. The exhaust sits to high. So using body weight I was able to push down on the exhaust a couple inches. Being patient I was then able to get the muffler to sit where it needed to be. Next came the mounting point where the exhaust bolts to under the bike. U have to bend the bracket a little away from the bike to get the right angle. Below you can see I had to reverse the bolt. The allen head is now located on the back side. Pic is blurry, but hopefully you can see what I am talking about.

Now that everything is pretty much on the last adjustment comes to the muffler. For it to sit correctly under the bag you need to make a little one inch bracket. All I used was a left over piece of my garage door rails. U only need two holes in length. Here is a pic of it below

I know some people aren't in for extra work. But the extra hour of work saved me over 400 dollars in buying an area p exhaust. Plus I wanted something you might not see everyday on a concours. I like to be different. Hence the blacked out bike. I talked to keith at fuelmoto about maps and he told me I would have great success with the full area p map and this exhaust. I thought I might feel a little difference after install the exhaust since I already had the flies pulled, bmc filter, pcv and slip on. I was blown away at how this bike felt after this install. The exceleration is insane!!!!! I can't wait to have it dynoed. If anyone has any questions just let me know I will help anyway I can.
