I'm telling you, I love the concept, but I'm starting to just not feel it anymore. It might be my install, I'll just start by saying that. I DID NOT solder the connections to the turn signals and break light...perhaps I should do that...rather I just used the vampire taps that came with the kit. here's what happened.
Raced from DC to Warrenton last night to the International Truck Dealership to get some ELC coolant for my truck. On the way home, signals don't work, and left and right indicators on dash are dimly lit. I yell some kind of $%^#@W into my helment, find a place to stop, turn off the bike, restart (that is what Kisan told me to do if the unit starts acting squirrely), same thing...mad as hell...get home, immediately determined I'm yanking the **** out and putting the stocker back in. I put in the stocker, and it starts buzzing profusely...so think, "oh yeah" disconnect the additional cable intersecting the turn signals and brake light. I do that...still buzzing like crazy. QUESTION: could it be that the stocker turn signal does not like my LED lights that I now have for front/rear turn signals? Why the crazy steady "BUZZ"?
Curse some more, plug the Kisan back in, kept the additional cable going to turn signals and brake light disconnected, and just running with basic setup of Kisan (only plugged into bike harness, no other options). works again, no problem.
Its just too much drama. Hate wondering if my turn signal is going to work or not. Next week, when I setup for 15K maintenance on the list of things to do is solder the connections, and give it another shot.
