Anyone installed a ZX-14 full Muzzy exhaust on their C14?
« on: November 29, 2011, 06:48:05 PM »
Just wondering if there will be any surprises when I go to install mine.  It should work as long as I "massage" the mid pipe (like Tyler1015 did in his thread) and get the lower bolt to line up properly.  Less weight than the duals and about $500 cheaper too.   ;)

I was gonna go with an Area P full exhaust but after dealing with an Area P employee who was beyond rude I decided that I don't want to give them my business.  Guess my money wasn't green enough........

Jeremy,  You spoke with one of my sons.  My apologises if you feel he was being rude.  That is not what Area P is known for and far  from his intentions.  You indicated you had placed an order with us for a full system.  I personally spoke with you initially many weeks ago and you did not place an order at that time; and we had systems in stock as I informed you.  You then indicated you placed the order with Fuel Moto.  You simply need to check with Fuel Moto as he had indicated.   The projected delivery dates are now late December, but we do have one system shipping to them tomorrow.  You would need to check with Fuel Moto to see if this is available for you (if you wish), since this is where you placed your order.  We build the C-14 full systems in very limited quantities and Fuel Moto normally gets everything that we build.   My apologises once again.

Sincerely,
Kerry Bryant
President, Area P

Kerry, thank you for the info, I understand that you guys run small batches.  I just wanted to know when the exhaust would ship since I was told it would be four weeks, almost six weeks ago.  When I called you back in the middle of October I didn't pull the trigger that day because I was checking to see what all my options were.  I ended up ordering through Fuel Moto (the day after I spoke with you) since they offered me free shipping, I guess I was a day late and a dollar short on the one that you had in stock.  The reason I called you guys directly was because Fuel Moto told me that would be the easiest way to find out when the exhaust would be ready.  I'm not one to hold grudges but I just feel that I was brushed off, when I got hung up on.  Thanks again and good luck.

hey JD. U would think they would line up the same way as the Yosh would. That would have to have the same way to mount to the bike?

It should, but there could always be small differences, especially in the angle of the can.  Hopefully it just needs some gentle persuasion like your Yosh did.
