Re: Oil thread status:

Boy, I hope not....

I can't make enough BMW brackets for my distributor (http://pirateslair.net/HelmetlockS1000RR.htm).    Check what the going price is for a BMW....

Just trying to get another option out there for fellow motorcyclists...

That pic is the loaded, all bags, L.D. trip set up..

My usual riding about town is without bags:

The bottom, blue bike is my beater for around town, carving canyons.  Lots of fun with Scorpions (no DB killers of course) on it, winding up to 14,000 RPM, however the FJR will power wheelie in first and second gear by throttle only, the blue bike, just first gear...

I should check out one of these for my bike. I really don't like the look of the Helmet Gaurdian on the back of the bike. But it works!

As stated earlier, there are 3 left, then no more.   Production has ended.  $25 shipped in the US...

This bolts around the frame, nothing extra to carry, no cables to cut, nothing to pull out from under the seat, one key...

PM if interested..

Townsend, I see that you photo shows a right side mount - close to the hot exhaust.  Does it fit on the left side where there isn't as much heat and I leave and approach the bike from that side?

There wasn't enough room to get the lock on the opposite side away from the exhaust (which is what I try to do, ie:  http://pirateslair.net/HelmetlockS.htm  , any brackets labeled as "Easy Helmet lock" are my design that I designed / manufacture).

The third picture down shows a full face helmet attached to the lock/bracket.  There's plenty of room between the lock assembly / helmet and the exhaust.    Heat between the two is not an issue..

The below picture shows a full helmet and the space between the helmet and exhaust pipe.  You can secure the helmet sideways so rain (or most of it) doesn't get inside when secured as well..

My helmet lock   Fits anywhere on the bike:

Too funny!  Looks awfully familiar... Look at mine- from my Taurus handgun.  I used it for many years to lock the removable soft (Ventura) luggage on my previous bike (didn't need to use it for the helmet, since I had a real, bike-mounted helmet lock).  Haven't used it on the Concours, since the luggage already locks and I added a real helmet lock.  Poor lock, so neglected.  Never has been used on the gun, since that lives in a gun wall safe.
