Vance & Hines CSOne Install Tips/Tricks?

All, I received my VH CSOne in Black from Motorcycle Superstore.  Will be installing it tomorrow morning.  Do any of you have any tips/tricks?  I remember reading somewhere something about a trick so the pipe doesn't discolor.  Any ideas?

The install is easy, except for the rubber that goes around the muffler hanger which can be a pain. Like others have said, keep all bolts loose until you have everything lined up then sinch them down. Brace your back before you lift the stock can. :) Sorry can't help with the discoloring.
